Rochester, New York trio Glasswaves—featuring Noah Rich on vocals, Owen Miller on guitar, and Brendan Curtis on bass—have officially announced their debut full-length album, while(True), arriving on October 23 via SharpTone Records
Alongside the announcement, the band has dropped the official music video for their gripping new single, “Swarm.ING_.”
Operating within a modern heavy music community that actively champions safe, inclusive, and fiercely LGBTQIA+-friendly spaces for all fans and creators, Glasswaves build an immersive sonic universe that welcomes outsiders, non-conformists, and anyone navigating the complexities of modern identity and survival.
Concept and Sound
Rooted in a narrative about a failing medical technology company called Liminal-Neuro that uses an experimental drug called “Neuro Veil” to conduct dream manipulation, the album explores deep themes of trauma, addiction, perception, and human selfishness.
“This song is about the feeling of something taking over your mind and feeding off of you, only to realize you are the thing that’s been consuming you,” shares vocalist Noah Rich. “When this one started it felt like we tapped into a new, almost nu-metal direction for us, while still keeping that core Glasswaves sound.”
Musically, the 12-track LP sets its cinematic sci-fi horror storytelling to a dynamic soundtrack blending cathartic metalcore, ethereal hard rock, and dark pop.

Production and Craftsmanship
Assembled throughout 2026 alongside producer Justin Spaulding across Atlanta, New York, and remote collaboration via Discord, the record draws from a diverse palette of influences ranging from Bring Me The Horizon and The Plot In You to The Neighbourhood and Tame Impala.
Guitarist Owen Miller notes that the dystopian themes also mirror real-world apathy: “People will see things happening and choose not to do anything, because it’s easier than taking action. Developments like A.I. data centers deplete natural resources, but nobody seems to care. ‘The Veil’ represents this sort of selfishness.”
