In the early morning hours of Monday, August 31, 2026, violence shattered a foundational sanctuary for Tucson’s LGBTQIA+ community. What should have been a safe haven turned into a crime scene in the parking lot of the historic Venture-N bar, located in the 1200 block of North 6th Avenue (1239 North 6th Avenue), just north of East Speedway.

The Sequence of Events and Emergency Response

A violent confrontation erupted in the exterior parking lot at approximately 12:30 a.m. when 44-year-old Ousman Ceesay confronted two patrons—42-year-old Vincent Anthony Siqueiros and 33-year-old Cameron Davis Capara. Ceesay opened fire, fatally striking both men.
